Doreen Yaffa is Founder and Managing Partner of Yaffa Family Law Group. Ms. Yaffa is one of a handful of divorce attorneys in the state of Florida who is Board Certified in Marital and Family Law. Although Ms. Yaffa is only available for a limited number of cases each year, her focus is on the management of Yaffa Family Law Group, a law firm practicing exclusively in divorce and family law matters located in South Florida. Headquartered in Boca Raton, Yaffa Family Law Group serves clients from Jupiter to Miami with satellite offices located in Palm Beach Gardens and Ft. Lauderdale. Doreen Yaffa has helped lead the firm to become one of South Florida’s premier family law firms where there is no such thing as a minimum retainer and there is a team collaborating behind each case. Clients receive enormous value and benefit from her managing role; as she touches each and every case that retains the firm.
Ms. Yaffa has over 27 years of experience practicing family and divorce law. She earned her board certification in 2001 and continues to remain a member of The Florida Bar in excellent standing. Only six percent of eligible Florida Bar members are board-certified. Certification is The Florida Bar’s highest level of proven competency and experience in the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. Ms. Yaffa is also a member of the American Bar Association, Palm Beach County Bar Association, South Palm Beach Bar Association as well as Florida Association of Women Lawyers. As one of South Florida’s most seasoned divorce attorneys, Ms. Yaffa has extensive trial experience and has handled numerous complex, high-profile cases.
In addition to her years as a litigator, Ms. Yaffa is specially trained in collaborative divorce. This practice empowers divorce parties to resolve legal disputes without judges and magistrates. This type of divorce offers a collaborative process with a team comprised of neutral mental health and financial professionals to educate, support and guide clients in reaching balanced, respectful agreements. Ms. Yaffa leads the team of lawyers with a focus on compassion and empathy as it relates to family law. The firm strives to obtain great outcomes for clients and offers custom unique solutions aimed to help repair families ruptured by strife, discord, and sometimes violence.
