Attorney Jumana “Gigi” Alkhatib graduated cum laude from the University of Florida and earned her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, Florida. She also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Law and Government with a concentration in Civil and Constitutional Rights and a specialization in Gender and the Law from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. Since April 2013, Attorney Alkhatib has practiced family law and immigration law both nationally and globally. She is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and before the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
Fluent in Arabic and conversational in American Sign Language, Attorney Alkhatib is driven by the values instilled by her immigrant parents, who emphasized hard work and community service. She became an attorney to support individuals in vulnerable situations and, with over a decade of experience in both public and private sectors, is known for her compassion and dedication to fighting for her clients’ rights.
Deeply committed to community outreach, Attorney Alkhatib has advocated for those unable to represent themselves. She has served as a Guardian Ad Litem with the Legal Aid Society of Orange County and as an Attorney Ad Litem in Miami-Dade County for several years, representing children who have been abused or neglected. Additionally, she has acted as Legal Advisor for the Domestic Violence Committee of the Arab American Community Center of Florida. Attorney Alkhatib resides in Boca Raton with her husband, two children, and their dog, Luna. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her big family, traveling, and giving back to the community.
