We all make New Year’s Resolutions and we make them with great intentions. But if you’re honest with yourself, how many of you stay true to your resolution?

I suggest writing a letter to your future self. First, figure out what you really want to accomplish next year. I would suggest that you select the thing that is most important to you. It could be something monetary, emotional, a business venture, or a personal goal. Now, write a letter based on what you would feel and who you would become if you reach that goal by December 31, 2021. For example, I would write myself a letter saying “I just reached this goal. It’s December 31, 2021, and this is how I feel as a result of reaching this goal”. Put it somewhere safe and set a calendar reminder to pull it out next year on December 31.

Make sure you check in with yourself every quarter. Make a note for every 90 days and put it in that same place. When you check-in, ask yourself how you’ve grown in the last few months. How close are you to reaching your goal?

If you need any help or pointers with this exercise, please reach out to me.

Wishing you an amazing week.
