Looking Forward: Building an Amazing Life

Recreate Your Thoughts

Today, I want to discuss talking to yourself – communicating with the thoughts that you have in your mind. You start off with a factor or circumstance that creates a thought, that then leads to a feeling which provokes action and ultimately, a result.

As humans, we have the ability to stop and review a thought to check if it serves us. If it doesn’t serve us, you have the ability to create a new thought.

I see this with many clients of mine that are going through a divorce. Their thoughts are taking control, immediately going to the negative. I always remind them that this thought process doesn’t serve the purpose of recreating your thoughts to get the best result in your divorce. I have to refocus them.

Changing your thoughts and talking to yourself about your thoughts can be applied to anything. There’s a time and a place to be sad and upset but remind yourself that you have the control to refocus and work towards thoughts that better serve your purpose.

Stay healthy in mind and body and have an amazing rest of the week.
